These sure are pretty. I used to live on California's coast but have recently found myself in the flatlands of Illinois - 1000 miles from the nearest ocean. Ah, I'm homesick for the wonderful sights and sounds of the beach.

Hard to live without the sea nearby once you've been addicted.
The only thing you can do is to go near a river if there is one around.

Lakes and rivers cannot hold a candle to the wonder that is the ocean. One of my most favorite pastimes is scuba diving but, although I could go diving in the lakes or rivers near my home, it just doesn't hold the same mystical properties and the experience can't be compared.

What's the weather there like these days? Is it like it is where I am or is it colder?

Of course in N.O. the weather changes so quickly. It was like summer today but the rain came and now it's in the low 60's.

Drat! I was trying to get out my summer clothes!

Cold water - this is the purpose of a wet suit or for the colder water, a dry suit. Oh, to be near the water's edge again; my heart, it does long.

Well, I have a summer dress on again. It was only last night that was cool. Today it was nice and warm again.

It's cooling off this evening and still it's only 75°F.

Nice! ;-)
