Saint Patrick's Day

My stepfather Pierre was giving me a ride from Monaco to Antibes,'twas a while ago, the road runs mostly by the sea side and as Pierre drove calmly, we had time to chat while the sun was going down. When we passed Nice it was early night.I don't know how we came to talk about the Irish but I was stating that Irish people came by thousands on the french Riviera,Pierre said :
" You exagerate, hundreds maybe, not thousands"so we got into a big argument about this .
The french always argue, they talk loud when they do.So I was saying "ten or twenty thousand Irish came to the Riviera in the past five years"and Pierre"You are out of your mind,Gerard....."
Conversation got hot and hotter. Now there is nine miles of beach from Nice to Antibes and we were half way through when the arguing got so hot,Pierre decided to change the topic to release the tension. He said " I wonder why they light all these fires on the beach"
I said " It's St. Patrick's day, that's why, you stoop"

That was a great story! Though, I'd suggest there are many more things about the Irish than merely drink, song and a salad to make them desirable. Of course, I married one.

What I love about some people is their aptitude to be true, and it's very Irish.

Well, there's always drink and song in everyone of us heheheh Irish, Chinese, or Japanese! You should see the whole Chinese clan during dimsum sessions, they are just so loud. And also Japanese picnics during the cherry blossom festivals. It's one big party and celebration of life! CHEERS!

Yes, and all the other places too.
We can't have it all.Perhaps we could inaugurate partying tours where people would be invited to get drunk in five or six places of the world.
Ex: GET BOOZED UP IN KAMCHATKA
Or- BE AS PISSED AS YOU CAN AMONG MEXICANS
-HOW MUCH SAKE IN YOU BEFORE YOU FALL DOWN...Hehehe as you say.
